2013-03-05 Winter Storm

A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued for our area with chances for significant snow accumulation increasing across Northern Illinois.

Taken from the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office for Chicago, IL

A winter storm will develop over the northern plains early next week and track into the Midwest by Tuesday. Various forecast models are offering up wildly varying solutions for where the storm and its associated band of significant snowfall will track. Heavy snow tracks range from Wisconsin and Michigan south to southern Illinois and Indiana. Later forecasts should be able to narrow down the forecasted heavy snow track, but in the mean time anyone with travel plans in the Midwest on Tuesday should monitor later forecasts on this developing winter storm! Beyond the storm a warm up appears to be in the offing by the end of the week…
